Très rare épreuve signée en français et en japonais en bas à droite, datée 1925. Dédicacée en 1926 et signée en haut à gauche. Légèrement jaunie, infime trou en bas à gauche, ancienne trace de pliure horizontale aplanie dans la marge inférieure, avec un petit accident vers le centre, minuscules rousseurs. Encadrement double face avec des reproductions de photographies de l’artiste au verso.

Sir Charles Napier: an unusual porcelaineaous mug printed in black with a named portrait inscribed ‘Commander-in-Chief of the Baltic Fleet’ gilt lining, fine hairline crack, circa 1855* Born in 1786 Napier went to sea at the age of 13 receiving his first command in 1808. He served in the Peninsular and American wars. He commanded the loyalist Portuguese fleet and was appointed Commander of the Baltic Fleet in the Crimean War. He twice sat in parliament and died in 1860.
