An Albert and Elizabeth Ducaton, obverse with double portrait, dated 1619, reverse with two lions supporting a crown above a shield, mm. for Brussels, 4.3cm, 32.2g. Possibly a shipwreck coin from the Hollandia treasure *Condition: Cleaned, damage to reverse, rim above right lion. The surfaces suggest this is a shipwreck coin, the collection from which it has been consigned includes a priced catalogue for the Hollandia Treasure, September 1973 and it is conceivable that this coin came from this or a later auction.

An Ashantee Medal, veiled portrait of Victoria, reverse with a 'skirmish' in the jungle, named to W.H. Burrows A.B. H.M.S. Decoy, 73-74. Engraved naming. William Henry Burrows was born in Camelford in Cornwall on 31st January 1843. He entered the Royal Navy in 1872serving aboard H.M.S. Decoy between 30th October 1872 and 19th October 1874. H.M.S. Lander will always be associated with the exploration of The Niger.

Vigurs, Penzance, 1821.Daines Barrington. 'Some Additional Information Relative to the Continuance of the Cornish Language. In a Letter to John Lloyd Esq. Frame with later gilded timber backing. Canvas has been glued to the stretcher, causing a crystalising effect to the painted area around the edge. Radiating craquelure from the centre. White re-touching to the centre of the nose.
