EARLY TO MID 20TH CENTURY ITALIAN SCHOOL, A PORTRAIT HEAD OF A YOUNG AFRICAN WOMAN, her braided hair up and through a ring, ebonised finished, indistinctly signed, raised upon a green onyx platform base, overall 32cm highCondition report: Some blemishes and scratches to surface, bit of dent / knock to edge of her left ear. Scuffs and chips to marble base.
BRYCE SMITH Portrait of a Lady, dressed in black, highlighted with gold buttons and jewellery, Victorian oil on canvas, signed and dated 1865, 70cm x 56cm, in ornate gilt frame with oval mountCondition report: a few tiny blemishes on her chin and white collar, looks as if the surface has been restored at the same, crazing to the paint surface, a small paint loss on the right hand side. Frame chips and losses in places to the gilt gesso. Not been lined, no patches. Sadly we have no provenance, we are actually offering on behalf of a Charity shop.
