[4270 Matthew Young, of Riccarton, enlisted in 1852 at Kilmarnock, aged 17, he suffered frost bite and was discharged being unfit for further service in 1867 having served four years abroad, latterly in Canada as Hospital Steward following his injury, he was admitted to the Royal Hospital in 1867]

[Miller was born 12 January 1922 in West Ham and died 26 December 1993 in Romford, Essex. Seedie's Roll states gazetted 11/12/45 for service on LCI ( L ) 280.
