Royalty – William and Mary – fine and extensive Chancery document bearing the dual portraits of William III and Mary II (by Robert White). A Letters Patent being an exemplification on behalf of William Halford in a cause depending in Chancery of depositions etc made before the commission to assign a Guardian to an infant. The Complainant being William Halford and defendants being Elizabeth Abraham and others. Written in gothic script on seven leaves of vellum with a complete example of the Great Seal of William and Mary in yellow wax (diameter 5 1/4 ins) suspended in half of the original skippet. Dated December 13th 1692. The portrait is slightly soiled with a close tear to left hand edge (repairable in our view) not affecting the image.
