English School (20th Century) Portrait of a lady, believed to be the suffragette Christabel Pankhurst oil on canvas, in a gilt frame 42 x 32cm (16 x 12in) Christabel Pankhurst (1880-1958) was born in Manchester and was a suffragette following her mother Emmeline Pankhurst, who was married to the radical socialist Dr Richard Pankhurst. Various holes to the right of the sitter's face. Quite dirty.
Franklin White (1892-1975), A Portrait of a Seated Lady, oil on paper, signed and dated lower right "F White 1971", 26.5 x 37 cm; together with drawings and a pastel of seated female nudes, circa 29 x 21 cm, signed "Franklin White" or initialled, four with the artist's studio stamp to verso. (5) All glazed and framed.
Adrian George (British, b.1944), Chinese Acrobat, signed lower right "Adrian George 1983" and numbered 56/100, lithograph, 109 x 78 cm Provenance: The Francis Kyle Gallery, 9 Maddox Street, London, W1 Other Notes: Adrian George studied at the Royal College of Art between 1961-64. He has exhibited extensively around the world and most recently at Chris Beetles Gallery in 2005. Adrian George's drawings on subjects from the world of theatre and pantomime have twice been used by the British Post Office for a series of postage stamps. Works by the artist are in the collections of the Victoria and Albert Museum and the National Portrait Gallery, London. Condition is fine - one small chip to the black frame.

Provincial Follower of Thomas Hudson (British, 18th Century) - Portrait of a Gentleman, half length, in a brown coat and blue waistcoat, oil on canvas, in a painted oval, and black frame, 74 x 60 cm Provenance: Monks Hall, Syleham, Suffolk Unlined canvas. A few small holes in canvas. Paint layer has raised and prominent craquleure which in some areas is vulnerable to flaking. Blue of waistcoat has very fine, small scale flaking. Varnish layer is very degraded, matte and discoloured. Some wear to gilded slip of frae.
