By Anthony Elson, a pair of commemorative silver-mounted glass claret jugs, London 1973, no.19/100, celebrating Bristol's Royal charter of 1373, tapering circular form, hob-nail cut glass bodies, the mounts with chased domed covers with ship and castle decoration and crown finials, the handles with a portrait of Edward III, with traces of gilding, inscribed 'Bristol 600 1373-1973', and with the Bristol town mark, height 32cm. Frederick Frith, signed silhouette, portrait of a child highlighted with gilt, also inscribed and dated 1841 verso CONDITION REPORT Small hole half an inch from the edge in the top left corner, somewhat dirty but possibly looks worse because of the card. Does have loss to her foot which has been painted back in.
