In 2001 he became a lecturer in art and design at North Tyneside College, joining the Stuckist art group the same year. He was a featured artist in The Stuckists Punk Victorian show at the Walker Art Gallery for the 2004 Livepool Biennial. The images in his work are often derived from pictures of film and singing stars in magazines, and he describes his methodology as including changing the composition on a computer, projecting onto the canvas, and painting details freehand.
