See illustration Hazel Lavery was a painter and second wife of the Irish painter Sir John Lavery (1856-1941). A celebrated beauty, she figured in more than four hundred of her husband`s works, modelling for the allegorical figure of Ireland painted on commission from the Irish Government

Smith, another painted with a Skylark signed Helen Hatton, two painted with portraits signed Alice Earl, another decorated with raised gilding, the footed dish painted with `Place House Cornwall` (some damages) (8) Condition report: Footed dish: short rim hairline, several hairlines to foot. Pierced border plate: ground out chips to footrim. Gilded plate: minor wear to high points. Skylark plate: Probably outside decorated, enamel wear and flaking, stained crazing. B. Smith floral plates: minor rim nick around 1mm in size. Alice Earl portrait plates: One cracked, the other lacking gilded border.
Sam Walsh (1934-1989), "Spaceman", signed and dated 67 in pencil in the margin, pencil and print, 30 x 22.5cm.; 12 x 9in. * Walsh was progressively included in key shows of Liverpool painters, as well as having his own exhibitions; he was in the Liverpool Academy`s touring show The Face of Merseyside, in 1976, in 1983 was in the 1st Merseyside Artists Exhibition which toured from Walker Art Gallery, then in 1987 his portrait of Samuel Beckett was shown at National Portrait Gallery. Other portrait subjects included Mick Jagger, J. Edgar Hoover and Ivon Hitchens, the painter.
