Self Portrait of Sir Joshua ReynoldsA copy of the originalOil on canvas 60 x 50cm Condition report: Some paint loss to the bottom of the painting (see image). Minor craquelur with more severe areas to the shoulder, forehead, the shadowed area of the face and some of the hat. There are three small tears, please see images. GRETA SEQUEIRA VALENTINE A portrait of Lamorna Birch Oil on canvas 61 x 51cm. Signed Provenance, the estate of Lamorna Birch. Note Greta Valentine was the wife of Birch's last patron, the Scottish fine art publisher Ranald Valentine. This portrait was painted at Valentine's home in Coupar Angus in 1940 when Birch was aged 71. Greta was then an art student and later became Birch's muse and constant companion at society functions and private view days at the Royal Academy and a guest at his home in Lamorna.
