G E Gascoyne-Thomson- Portrait of the Lady Doone Marley, head and shoulders; pencil, signed and dated 1946, 50x40cm: together with a cartoon of Lady Marley by a different hand, a membership certificate from The Clipper Club dated 1966 and a portrait of a naval officer in oils on canvas, signed 'Deva' and dated 8.11.68, (4). Note: Lady Doone Marley was for many years the travel editor for Gourmet Magazine, published by Conde Nast. She was sometimes known as 'The Island Queen'.

Note: Lady Gertrude Louisa Scott married Lt.Col. Eustace Brownlow Henry Gascoyne-Cecil in 1860. He was the brother of Robert Arthur Talbot Gascoyne-Cecil, 3rd Marquess of Salisbury, 1830-1903, Conservative politician and Prime Minister 1885-86, 1886-92 and 1895-1902.
