WW2 British RAF Medal Group to a Air Ambulance WAAF: 1939-45 Star, France & Germany Star, War Medal, Defence Medal later replacement issues. Along with set of miniatures medals to match: Plus RAF Observers & Air Gunners Log book to 425072 LACW Joan Crane, Air Ambulance Orderly. Book starts on 24/11/44. Total of 320 flying hours on Dakotas. Post war she became an Air Stewardess with BEA and the lot includes her Personal Flying Log Book with over 4000 hours logged. Also a framed portrait photo in BEA uniform, student pilot licence, and post war ration book.
WW2 Third Reich. A rare large portrait photograph by official photographer Heinrich Hoffmann of Adolf Hitler. Taken in the early 1930's showing Hitler in Lederhosen and Bavarian style jacket with Party badge on lapel. Hitler later suppressed use of these images of him with bare knees. Image size 28cm x 20cm mounted on card and removed from a frame. Taken from "Saltenhof" the home home of SA Stabschef Viktor Lutze in 1945 by an officer of the Royal Engineers.
A 19thC Swiss oval enamelled miniature portrait pendant signed by Gaspard Lamuniere (1810-1865), depicting a young female sitter, possibly Princess de Lamballe, lady-in-waiting to Marie Antoinette and surrounded by a cluster of split pearls, set in gold and testing as 18ct, the reverse fitted as a glazed locket and showing maker's signature – 'Lang & Padoux, Geneve', 1.5” high excluding the pearl set hinged suspension loop, on gold necklace chain in original fitted retail jeweller's case – 'B. HMS Kenya – 18 black & white photographs relating to the career of Chief Mechanician Henry Arthur Hudson RN, who joined the Navy in 1933 and served on ships including HMS Resolution and HMS Royal Oak before joining the newly commissioned HMS Kenya in 1939 on which he remained until leaving the Navy in 1946. The photographs comprise a large format portrait of the officers and crew of the Kenya on the foredecks in April 1945, a press photo of a near miss on the Kenya in a Malta convoy, 14th June 1942, six photographic postcards and 10 photographs taken from the Kenya during the passage of convoy 'Pedestal' in August 1942, together with a Crossing the Line Certificate on board HMS Kenya.

A Gilt Metal Buckle, dated 1854, of lobed circular form, set with a central carnelian cameo, garnet cabochons, amethysts and citrines within enamel and ropetwist borders, inscribed verso Ex Dono Smi Patris Pii, Papae, IX. Robto Gulmo Willson Epo Hobart Die XXVII Julii Anno S. 1854, 12cm diameter; and A Bronze Papal Medal, cast with a bust portrait and inscribed Pius Septimus Pontifex Max, the reverse with the Colosseum and further inscriptions, 7cm diameter (2) Inscription on buckle translates as: A Gift From His Farther Pope Pius IX to Robert William Willson, Bishop of Hobart, 27th July 1854 Robert William Willson was the first Roman Catholic Bishop of HobartLeaf cast moulding missing from above cameo. All leaf cast moulding and scroll mouldings about cameo possibly originally enamel, some remnants of enamel still remaining. Both with typical very minor surface scratching and wear. 110318
