An extremely rare William III Scottish provincial steel knife and two prong fork, with mounted tortoiseshell cannon handles decorated with corded wire inlay and initials "IR", the blade with cutler's mark ("B" below a scimitar) the silver end caps with maker's mark ("DB" within a heart shaped punch) for David Bigger or Biggart of Kilmaurs c.1700, contained in original fitted sheath, the knife 7. 75in (19.5cm) long, the fork 7.1in (18cm) long.
