Cultured pearl two strand necklace with a Victorian carved garnet and old cut diamond cluster to the centre. The two strings of 6.5mm cultured pearls with a silver and marcasite clasp, the central panel converted from a Victorian brooch with diamond star motif and six-segment carved cabochon garnet panels in gold frame.Condition report: The garnet and diamond panel has been converted from a Victorian brooch, approximately 26mm diameter, it comprises a central old cut diamond star motif, the diamond approximately 3.5mm, the star approximately 10mm. The garnet is in six segments, one of which is chipped, minor abrasions, overal diameter approximately 26mm. Not hallmarked but probably 18ct gold. The cultured pearls measure approximately 6.5mm diameter and are in good condition with a good lustre, overall length of the necklace is approximately 37mm. Total gross weight approximately 56.2 grams.
