A French late 19th century diamond set brooch pendant, c.1890,signed 'Mellerio Dits Meller Paix Paris'. Four cushion and old European cut diamonds claw set to a scrolling openwork cartouche frame, all grain set with graduated Swiss and rose cut diamonds, terminating with seven old European and cushion cut diamonds, all claw set, with an articulated pear-shaped diamond drop. The detachable screw back bale set with four old cut diamonds. All set in silver and backed in gold.
