Russian silver: an Imperial Russian Romanov period (pre-1917) silver tazza, assay master`s mark for Dmitri Ilych Tsverskoi (St Petersburg 1833 - 1851), the circular top with frieze band depicting a procession of dancing nude figures, `the triumph of Bacchus`, playing instruments, one riding an elephant, another on a chariot pulled by a panther, flags and trophies, the support with raised female face masks, scrolls, gadrooning and goats head masks, on guilloche foot rim, base with inscribed number 1562. Date mark indistinct, marked 84 (84 zol, 875 / 1000 purity), weighing approximately 4lb (64oz) 22cm diameter, 16cm high.
