GC, with a quantity of autobiographical details and copies of photographs of Crown Prince Rupert of Bavaria.

A DB 12 bore percussion sporting gun, by John Manton & Son, Dover Street, London, number 11471 (1844-45), 451/2" overall, twist barrels 30", the broad top rib engraved with maker's name and address, the locks engraved with scrolls, game dogs and "John Manton & Son Patent", walnut halfstock with chequered wrist, silver plated engraved steel mounts. GWO & C (barrels well rebrowned, mounts replated over some wear and light pitting, one hammer expertly repaired, with a set of silver plated ramrod mounts but no ramrod) (Please see lot 782 for image)

A 16 bore percussion target or duelling pistol, converted from flintlock with new breech, 143/4" overall, flat topped round twist barrel 10", flat stepped lock with safety bolt, the plate engraved "W Parker", half stocked with flat sided partly chequered butt, and with silver escutcheon and barrel wedge plates, engraved spurred steel trigger guard with single set trigger. GWO & generally GC (refinished overall, hammer, ramrod pipe, ramrod and other small pieces replaced, set trigger requires attention)
A 14 bore percussion duelling pistol, by Wallace, Dublin, converted from flintlock with new breech, 163/4" overall, octagonal barrel 113/4" engraved in script "Wallace, Dublin", flat stepped lock also engraved "Wallace", plain walnut fullstock with rounded butt, and with silver escutcheon and barrel wedge plates; steel trigger guard with pineapple finial. GWO & C (barrel rebrowned, stock refinished, hammer and ramrod replaced, patched repairs to fore end, action slightly weak) (Please see lot 820 for image)
An 18 bore Kabyle Arab snaphaunce jezail, 64" overall, good quality barrel 481/2" with fluted breech, spiral panels, and stepped rear sight, the lock with engraved silver panels and circular poincon, plain fullstock with ivory heel to butt, iron trigger guard, original ivory tipped ramrod. Generally GC (frizzen missing, some worm), would repay sympathetic cleaning.
An Ed VII diplomat's sword, straight, slender unfullered blade 311/2", etched with trophy and wreath within scrolled panels, gilt hilt with knucklebow, langets, shell with applied silver plated Ed VII cypher within wreath, and crown pommel, simulated silver wirebound grip, in its gilt mounted leather scabbard with gilt knot and tassels, in oilcloth bag, with a gilt aiguilette and tags. Near VGC (2" at blade tip pitted)
