Two silver mounted cut glass scent bottles; Northern Goldsmiths Co, Birmingham 1925, with star cut decoration and monogrammed cover, 9.5cm and a Scottish thistle decorated example, London 1934, 10.5cm high CONDITION REPORT: Thistle engraved example - stopper is stuck into the neck of the bottle, some minor surface scratching but generally good. Other - engraved to the cover, stopper removed from the bottle, some minor nibbling to the glass. Both would benefit from a good clean.

A George III silver nutmeg grater, Thomas Phipps & Edward Robinson, oval shaped with hinged cover and underside decorated with engine turned detailing, 5cm wide CONDITION REPORT: Internal grater still present but very rusty, possible repair to the hinge, some surface scratching and wear throughout. top and base cover close well. An Edwardian silver trinket box, Henry Matthews, Birmingham 1903, the quatrefoil shaped box embossed to the hinged cover with five cherubs, 10cm wide CONDITION REPORT: Marks rubbed and barely legible, some minor surface scratching and wear but overall appears to be in good order.
A Victorian silver mounted claret jug, Cornelius Joshua Vander, London 1886, the wrythen glass body with silver angular handle and cover engraved with a crest, 21cm CONDITION REPORT: Crest engraved to the cover, thumbpiece possibly been re-soldered - see the attached images. Hallmarks clear and legible. Small dent to the silver on the neck to the left of the spout (see image). No obvious cracks to the glass, however there are some chips and nibbles to the high points, some surface scratching and wear throughout, overall appears to be ok.
A Victorian silver teapot, Edward and John Barnard, London 1853, of compressed globular form, with all-over chased scrolling floral and foliate decoration and melon finial, ivory spacers to the handle, initialled 'CT', 14cm high, weight 20.5ozt CONDITION REPORT: Initialled to one side and not the other, cover sits flush, ivory spacers to the handle, marks clear and legible, some minor surface scratching and wear, interior dis-coloured through use, overall appears to be in quite good order. See the attached images for further clarification. Please note: Trevanion & Dean does not ship items containing ivory outside the EU.The government have proposed legislation to create a UK law to ban the sale of all ivory which is likely to come into effect by the end of 2018. Please note this means that this lot is legal to sell now but may not be in the future.
