Ireland, Hiberno-Norse silver penny imitating the Long Cross Issue of Aethelred II of England, listed as Class V, c.1065-c.1095, barbarous legends each side, reverse:- Crude hands in two angles [or possibly pennants flying out from their poles?], Spink 6140, full, round, central, GVF
Pistols: A fine Officers cased pair of percussion belt pistols by Hollis and Sheath. Octagonal barrels 7" top flat engraved 'LONDON'. Flat lock plates with simple Acanthus decoration signed 'Hollis & Sheath' (10/11 Weaman Row B'ham 1849-50) Fine walnut stocks with chequered grip and oval buttplate with bullet trap. Steel T/guard & silver fore-end cap. Belt clip to L/hand side of stock. Captive rammers, notch rearsight. Both locks in crisp working order. Contained in a green baize fitted walnut case with accessories including:- small flask, nipple wrench & cleaning rod. Oval brass escutcheon to case with initials 'C.W'. (?) A fine pair of matching belt pistols circa 1850 (for the Crimea?) GWO & Condition.
Viking York, silver penny, obverse reads:- CVN NET ITI [not the nomal CVN NET TI] around small cross pattee with pellet in two angles, reverse reads:- CRTENV, thought to = CNUT, see J.J.N. p.80, 496, around patriarchal cross, Spink 993, well centred, evenly struck, near as struck GEF

Aethelred II silver penny, Helmet Issue, obverse reads:- +AEDELRAEDREXANGL [first 'D' with thorn, both 'AE,s' and 'NG' ligulate], reverse reads:- +EREPI.NE MO DE followed by triple stop, ['D' with thorn], Thetford Mint, moneyer Derewine [the present rendering unusual and rare], with an extra pellet in the mint quarter of the reverse, Spink 1152var., W.J.Conte had the only other coin known to me from this reverse die [Triton VI, 14-15/1/2003, lot 1337], this having had a further pellet added in the quarter below the mint quarter, with a ticket by J.Mann, full, round, central, single Viking peck mark each side, GVF

American Percussion sporting/target rifle circa 1840. Heavy octagonal barrel 32". Walnut half stock in the Kentucky Rifle style. Ornate patchbox. Silver coloured furniture. Wooden ramrod. Rear peepsight. Lock signed 'G. Goulcher'. Barrel top flat signed 'A.G. GOULCHER TROY, NEW YORK'. Lock with engraved game bird and the reverse of the buttstock has a white metal deer or moose inlaid into the wood. Lock works on full cock. This is an attractive piece of Americana from the early American Western period.

Back action lock. Makers name 'T Boss'. Steel ramrod. Engraved steel trigger guard and furniture. Full stocked to muzzle. Rifle circa 1840. Light wear commensurate with use. A quality rifle from the Victorian era. No licence required. V.G.W.O and condition
