A rare decorated table and chair from the Apple Boutique, circa 1968, table with circular top & on four twisted columns, each item similarly painted with floral motifs in blue, yellow, silver, orange and green, chair (35in) high, table (28¾in) high Provenance: Ex lot 120, Sotheby`s London, 29th August 1985, sale of `Rock `n` Roll Memorabilia 1956-1984`. The footnote at the time recorded that these items were obtained from the boutique by a company dealing in bankrupt business stock. Gilbert & George `Ginkgo Pictures` exhibition poster, 12 Giugno - 6 Novembre 2005, signed by both in silver pen, framed Provenance: From 1987 to 1995 the vendor was the head of music purchasing for the BBC Gramophone Library housed at Egton House (Radio 1) top of Regent St, in London. Most of the autographs come from that period. From 1995 to 2002 I was the senior Producer for Music Choice Europe (Sky Digital) and interviewed many artists. From 2002 I discovered and managed the Jazz singer (and now Radio 2 presenter) Clare Teal with who I met lots of other artists while on tour working with Sony Records. 28 x 20in. (71 x 51cm)

Alice`s three sisters were married to Edward Burne Jones, Edward Poynter (Artists) and Alfred Baldwin (father of 20th century British Prime Minister Stanley Baldwin). Passed from Helen Macdonald by gift to the present vendor.
