An exceptional George IV Sterling Silver Teniers style mustard or honey pot by Edward Farrell, London 1821. Of squat, pear form with high relief embossed decoration depicting traditional Dutch scenes with figures and animals among foliate scrolls and trees. The piece sits on four lion's paw feet with maiden's face mask decoration, and the handle is modeled in the trompe l'oeil manner as a scrolling branch with vines. The hinged lid features further chased decoration including foliage and scrolls, and is surmounted by a cast and applied flower branch finial with a bee resting atop it.
