Mutiny on the Bounty. A signed copy of Mutiny on the Bounty by Charles Nordhof and James Norman Hall, reprint, Boston, 1934, front endpapers neatly ruled and lined in double columns with the names of the cast in block capitals in the left column and the actors autograph signatures adjacent in the right-hand columns, including Charles Laughton, Clark Gable, Franchot Tone and Herbert Mundin, a total of thirty-seven names and signatures, the following two leaves (front free endpaper verso and half title recto) with good pen and ink drawings of a skull and anchor plus the Bounty at sea, pen, ink and pencil border decoration to title, with some pencil partially erased, rear free endpaper verso and pastedown with eleven further signatures of the crew and a good pen and ink drawing of Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer lion logo, autographs include those of the director Frank Lloyd, producer Irvine [sic] Thalberg and cinematographer Arthur Edeson, a further eleven signatures in total, orig. cloth lettered and decorated in silver, sl. rubbed and marked, and partly faded on the spine, 8vo An extraordinary and unique piece of film memorabilia relating to the first version of 'Mutiny on The Bounty'. The illustration at the rear of the book is signed 'Harry Ravin, Pasadena'. The book was given to the owner's mother by David Thursby who played the (uncredited) part of Thomas McIntosh in the film and whose name and signature appears on the front pastedown. (1)

The limited output of three or four pieces a year their whimsical and fantastic design and Tolliday's skills as a craftsman insured the desirability of these objects among collectors.
