Rare Collection of Glass Slides Mason (T.) Dame St., Dublin: A very good collection of approx. 160 glass slides, mostly of Dublin & Cork interest, including slides of Dixon's Soap & Candle Factory, Dobbin Ogilvie & Co. Jam Makers, Patterson's Matches & others of Dublin, and Dwyer & Co. Shirt Factory, Lee Boot Company, Ryan's Candle Works, Wm. Egan, Silversmiths of Cork. They include very good exterior views and interior views with women and men working, groups, etc. Other industries include engineering, weaving, furniture making, coopers, carpenters, brewers etc. There are also some single items, medals and trophies awarded for various events, etc all in single envelopes. In addition there are about 65 other slides of artefact's from the National Museum in silver, bronze, all archaeological sites, some Republican, one of Douglas Hyde, one of Olympic (sister ship of Titanic) Belfast 1910 etc. Some unidentified, some dam., but a rare collection.
