A silver snuff box hallmarked Chester 1928Condition Report: Firstly the hinge appears to be in good condition and is straight, the snuff box is not without issue. There several 'dings' etc. to the underside and also to the underside of the lid. There is a 2cm 'scratch' visible mostly to the top left hand side of the cartouche on the lid (viewing from above) and there are also minor 'dings' to the bottom of the box where the foot sits on a flat surface. it has engine turned decoration to the lid and underside and is also very finely reeded to the edges. The floral thumb piece is excellent and the lid bears a central rectangular cartouche and as we interpret it the initials are PVV, it is also dated 1930.

It bears no hallmark nor stamp but in our opinion would test as gold and silver, possibly Russian. The approximate qualities of the diamonds are; colour J/K/L, clarity I1/I2/I3. Gross weight 1.2 grams. CR made 20.01.22.

It fastens with a pin and visor catch. It bears no hallmark nor stamp and in our opinion would test as silver and gold. The central pearl measures 6.75mm x 7.05mm approximately. The approximate qualities of the diamonds are; colour I/J/K, clarity I1/I2/I3. Gross weight 8.1 grams. CR made 31.01.22.
