Coignet Layne Paris, the 91.5cm(36") round to octagonal barrel with 'gold' scrolling decoration and silver shroud to the breech end, three barrel pins and ramrod under with silver pipe holders, steel lock with classical head cameo mount to the hammer and 'gold' lined pan, full length carved walnut stock with extremely decorative embossed and chased silver mounts and trigger guard including a family crest, maker's name to top of barrel and lock plate L130cm overallCondition Report:Overall condition is reasonably good consistent with age and use.However, the stock is badly split in three places - to the wrist, under the pan and the fore-end. The wrist crack has a historic crude repair with inset wooden bridging pieces to both sides.The silver barrel shrouding is starting to lift by the touch hole in the breech.
