A 19TH CENTURY WHITE METAL AND PASTE SET NECKLACE comprising a necklace, unmarked, with twenty-two oval faceted paste stones in closed back settings; an 18th Century silver and paste set pendant, marked with a French boar's head and maker's mark VR, the central round faceted clear paste stone within a border of smaller stones and three further large stones, all rubover set within a scrolling openwork frame, suspending a pear cut green foil backed paste stone; together with a further conforming buckle slide, set with a clear pear-cut paste stone. (3) Necklace 41cm long, 48 grams grosswear and tear commensurate with age, necklace is in good condition, with a later clasp, white metal assessed as silver.

She joined the staff of William Hutton & Sons, a well-known silver maker from Sheffield, as a designer working from the small London factory that they opened in 1898. They also designed and supplied silver for Liberty & Co and the Goldsmiths and Silversmiths Company. One of her designs was a prize winner for Hutton & Sons at the 1900 Paris Exhibition.
