JOSEPH GLOSTER; a late Victorian hallmarked silver trinket box of rounded rectangular form, the domed hinged lid and body embossed throughout with scrolls, with central vacant cartouche to the hinged lid, Birmingham 1898, length 9.75cm, width  4.75cm, height 3.25cm, approx 78g.Additional InformationAction works well with a tight fit, toning and tarnishing throughout, good gauge to the cartouche, a few slight tiny dents to the base with surface scratches and a few tiny dents to the edges but overall in good order.

WALKER & HALL; an Edwardian hallmarked silver and inlaid tortoiseshell trinket box of rectangular form, the hinged lid enclosing a velvet lined interior and with plain sides, London 1909, length 9.5cm, width 5cm, height 3cm, approx 159g.Additional InformationThe tortoiseshell and inlay are in good order, one of the pins holding the tortoiseshell in place is loose so it is slightly sprung from the bracket, the whole case is slightly twisted and bent meaning the lid does close but it is a little clumsy.  The interior lining needs attention as it is loose and split, several dents throughout and unsightly seem marks to the base.  Pin head sized dents to the body with tarnishing and toning throughout.

DEAKIN & FRANCIS; a George V hallmarked silver and inlaid tortoiseshell trinket box of quatrilobed form, the hinged lid inlaid with floral swags enclosing a lined interior and raised on four pierced feet, Birmingham 1913, length 11.75cm, width  8.5cm, height 5.75cm, approx 165.8gAdditional InformationThe tortoiseshell and silver inlay are in good order, there is a dent just above the hinge to the back rim by the side of the tortoiseshell which impacts on the rim of the silver.  The lid is slightly misshapen although it still shuts, but is slightly twisted and sprung is some areas.  Toning and tarnishing throughout, a few more dents to the body. A three millimetre split above one of the legs to the frame, the legs are slightly misshapen and the base is coming away with the replaced liner.

Gilt washed interior still present, the action is very slightly springing but very near perfect, light surface tarnishing and toning and a few surface scratches.

ADIE & LOVEKIN LTD; a late Victorian hallmarked silver oval trinket box, with embossed scrolling decoration to the hinged lid and crimped rim, Birmingham 1900, length 7cm, width 4.5cm, depth 1.8cm, approx 32.6g.Additional InformationTraces of original gilding to the interior, crisp action, hallmarks are clear, light surface wear and scratches.  The only comment to make is that the polished vacant cartouche which is on a good gauge does stand out rather as being so polished and there are four small pin holes to the lid.

The raised sections are of good gauge but polished which rather stands out, slight denting to the edges and general surface wear.

General surface wear.
