The Devonshire Regiment, Volunteer Battalions Officers' Forage Cap Badge, c1883-1901, A scarce example in silver plate being a crowned eight-pointed star, red velvet cushions to the crown, the star with a double mount comprising a raised circle 'The Devonshire Regiment', this pierced, in the raised centre Exeter Castle and Motto 'Semper Fidelis'. The whole centre on a ground of blue velvet. Now with pin fastener. Some wear to the velvet and Castle Motto otherwise good overall condition.

Imperial German Bavarian Reserve Officers Pickelhaube Helmet, being leather body with fine officers pattern gilded Bavarian helmet plate with frosted silver reserve cross to the centre. Scaled chinstraps supported by officers national cockade and an unusual state cockade. Gilt metal cross plate with officers stars and removable fluted spike. Helmet is complete with the original leather liner to the interior but missing the silk. Stitching is loose to the front peak and the cross base has made the leather sink but otherwise generally good condition. Complete with an original storage case.
