An Edwardian silver hot water jug in George III style, by Henry Stratford, London, 1902, with raffia-bound handle, collet foot, gadroon rim, handle terminating at upper junction in an acanthus leaf, 22 cm. high, wt. 579 gm.Small areas of loss to raffia binding of handle, lacks hinge pin to cover, slight wear to marks, a few small shallow dings to right of lower handle.
A silver miniature Livery company souvenir tankard of late 17th century style by D. & J. Wellby, London, 1927, made for 600th anniversary of founding of the Merchant Taylors Company, engraved with company coat of arms and inscription "Merchant Taylors Co. 1st. Charter 1327", sides chased with acanthus leaf band, base chased with large Tudor rose, cover embossed with bust of a gentleman, the tankard modelled on a Dublin example of 1680. 8.8 cm. high, wt. 203 gm.Good condition, no bruises. Good marks.
A French silver boudoir clock made for Tiffany, circa 1910, plain oblong form with white enamel dial marked "TIFFANY", black Roman numerals and blued steel hands, top engraved with elaborate foliated monogram, hinged back opening to reveal a brass key-wind balance movement, 5.5 cm. high x 4.8 cm. wide.Good condition, no bruises, in working order, The name "Tiffany" on dial is worn so one can only read "...FANY".
A pair of late Victorian/Edwardian silver-plated Corinthian column candlesticks, the stepped square bases with incurved corners and swags of flowers, the columns embellished with diagonal trailing bands of flowers, 33 cm. high.No nozzles, appear to have been lacquered and lacquer breaking up.
A matched set of nine early 18th century silver rat-tail table spoons, one by Paul Hanet, London, 1721 or later (Grimwade no.2189), two with indistinct date letter visible, one of which is probably London, 1709 or 1711, two more with extremely worn marks and four more to all intents and purposes unmarked, all engraved with crest of a demi-lion rampant issuing from a tower, wt. 570 gm.Apart from issues with marks hitherto mentioned, overall condition is good with even bowls.
A group of four modern silver-faced photograph frames and another smaller, three rectangular with heart-shaped apertures, one with batswing fluting and two with scrolls, one heart-shaped, the small frame also heart-shaped, all with blue velvet-covered easel backs except one with beige velvet, first three 19.5 cm. high. All in good condition
A small Dutch silver bowl with English sponsor and import marks for Samuel Boyce Landeck, Sheffield, 1901, chased with rural scenes, cottages, a musician leaning against a tree, flowers and foliate scrolls, 8.3 cm. diameter; also a set of three Continental silver-plated cylindrical cigarette holders and an ashtray with pierced border, all embossed with figures in tavern scenes, weighable silver 55 gm. (5).Slight distortion to rim of bowl, plated items virtually as new.
