With two signed letter from the artist dated May 4th 1939 thanking the purchaser for payment and giving detailed description of the location of the subject and 26 April 1939 giving details of the delivery. Leonard Richmond: Studied at Taunton School of Art and Chelsea Polytechnic. Prolific exhibitor at Fine Art Society, RA, Cooling and Walker Galleries. Also showed widely overseas winning a number of awards. These included the Tuthill Prize at Chicago International Watercolour Exhibition in 1928 and in 1947 silver medal at Paris Salon.
