A Household Cavalry officer’s levee dress sword, c 1840, straight, fullered blade 33” (tip slightly shortened) with maker’s name “Andrews 9 Pall Mall London” in etched panel on one side at forte, gilt semi boat shell hilt (the inner portion of the guard officially removed), reinforced edge, upswept quillon, the guard screwed into ball pommel, silver wirebound grip, in a non matching brass mounted leather scabbard. GC, the blade retaining much original polish.
An interesting composite sword, slender tapering blade 28”, inlaid at forte with brass disc, similar inlaid rosettes and “Potsdam” at top of blade, flattened iron cruciform Society sword crosspiece, 18th century pas d’ane rings, lightly silver gilt simulated wirebound, banded swollen grip, with “cords” top and bottom and pierced hollow ovoid foliate pommel. GC

Named ‘Zillertal’, RN2 is fitted with electric lights front and rear (one missing), detailed boiler and ancillaries, footplate with driver and fireman. Finished in black with red frames and motion. Together with 3 items of LGB rolling stock – 4- wheel Post Wagon 32190 with veranda. A 4-wheel clerestory passenger coach 30500. Plus a 4-wheel passenger coach 38078, with passengers. All in dark green livery. Also a Bachmann Big Haulers bogie ‘L’ Tank Car in silver ‘TEXACO’ livery 93432. All rolling stock boxed, minor wear. An officer’s full dress sword, c 1835, of the Life Guards, straight fullered blackened blade 33½”, gilt brass boatshell guard with long quillon, knucklebow screwed to ball pommel with prominent cap, solid section to top of silver wirebound swollen grip. GC the hilt retaining approx 20% gilt.
A Vic officer’s full dress silver mounted shoulder belt of the 14th (King’s) Hussars, gilt (dull) lace with central stripe on tan leather, border engraved mounts with buckle, tip and slide, escutcheon bearing regimental eagle with chains and prickers in mount with Royal Crest, items HM (or part HM) B&P B’ham 1890. Basically GC (few stitching faults, mounts heavily tarnished but evidently little worn).
A set of badges to the Legion of Frontiersmen, comprising two different pattern cap badges, pair collars, pair shoulder titles, 2 pairs of “LF” cyphers and 2 types of buttons; a cap badge to the United Services Corps (worn); a quantity of Salvation Army badges including 8 various cap badges in silver plate, brass and bronze, 9 silver plated collars including 3 pairs, and sundry lesser insignia; and approximately 25 other badges etc, including 2 large enamelled school (?) badges with 2 sew on loops, 2 Red Cross and an embroidered Yacht Club cap badge.
