A First World War silver cased wristwatch, with Arabic numerals, a pocket watch and stopwatch. CONDITION REPORT: The watch is not currently ticking. The hands do adjust. Case diameter 34 mm. The case is a little tarnished but in generally good condition. The watch glass is in good order. The dial has clear numerals and all pointers are present. There are several hairline cracks running from the centre of the dial. The most visible runs through the numeral 10. The others are fainter and only really visible with the aid of a magnifying glass. There are 8 in total.
Six pairs of silver hors d'oeuvres knives and forks, with mother of pearl effect handles, Sheffield 1865. CONDITION REPORT: All twelve pieces are in extremely good condition. They have clearly seen very little use. They are all nice and tight at the joints and there is no damage of any significance to the tines of the forks, the blades of the knifes or the metal collars. The mother of pearl is in our opinion natural and again all handles are in good order. The full length of the knifes is 20.5 cm and the forks 16.8 cm.
A mahogany canteen of silver plated cutlery, by Lee & Wigfull of Sheffield. Cabinet width 92 cm (see illustration). CONDITION REPORT: The mahogany cabinet is in generally very good condition with only very minor blemishes. The canteen is 12 place settings and appears to be complete with the exception of a missing grapefruit spoon. There are 6 serving spoons as one would expect and the canteen appears to be complete. The bottom two drawers of the cabinet are not fitted and have no contents. We would have thought the canteen dates from the 1970's or 80's.
