Newman, East Lancs Regiment, comprising War Medal, Victory Medal and 1914-15 Star, photographs, spare tunic buttons and other items. *John Newman joined up straight from Christ College, Cambridge and was killed on the 7th August 1915 at Suvla Bay during the ill fated Gallipoli Campaign. A WWI Medal Duo to 2nd Lieut. Geoffrey Newman, RFC, comprising War Medal, Victory Medal and miniatures, wristwatch, silver I.D. tag, Flying Logs, manuals, RFC Graduation Certificate, flying goggles and buttons amongst other items. *Geoffrey Newman appears to have joined the RFC in late 1916 and started flying in March 1917. He was demobbed on 2nd February 1919 with approximately four hundred hours recorded flying time listed in two logs.
