An Art 400 Psychedelic table lamp, circa 1970's, of rectangular form, each side with a pierced silver coloured plastic grill, the interior with a rotating celluloid sleeve with diagonal striped bands of red, blue, black and yellow, all supported upon a moulded circular foot, height 27 cm width 16.5 cm.
A pair of Edwardian Royal Worcester posy vases, date code for 1907, with polychrome floral swags between gilt borders against a green ground and each housed within a silver sleeve, the silver for William Henry Sparrow, Birmingham, 1907, with weighted bases, height 16 cm (see illustration). CONDITION REPORT: Both the porcelain liners appear to be free from any chips or cracks. There is no obvious crazing to the naked eye of one. However there are some surface scratches on the lower white section. The other sleeve has no crazing visible to the naked eye, but under a jewellers loop there is crazing throughout the majority of the body and also some surface scratches from being in contact with the silver. The silver appears to be in good order with no obvious faults, the marks are clear. The weighted bases are again in good order. When placed in the silver sleeve both of the porcelain liners do rise above the top of their silver housing.
A Victorian silver necklace, set with graduated citrines. Length 42 cm. CONDITION REPORT: The stones do not have enclosed backs. The stones are all in generally very good condition with only the odd minor surface scratch or mark. One stone has a more severe internal fracture somewhat like an inclusion. This is only visible with a loop. The necklace is structurally sound with no visible damage to any of the links.
Cut glass and silver mounted ink well, London 1874, the lid with presentation inscription "J.T. from B.L October 1874", standing within a Dutch silver boat shaped stand having a beaded rim above pierced sides, with an engraved band to the interior, all supported on four claw and ball feet, 19 cm wide (see illustration).
A set of six silver napkin rings, John Millward Banks, Birmingham 1884 and 1887, each with a vacant shield shaped cartouche, engraved with a band of flowers beneath undulating band borders, all within a fitted presentation case (see illustration). CONDITION REPORT: All of the napkin rings are in generally extremely good condition. There are no erasures, splits or any repairs. All hallmarks are clear and fully legible. One napkin ring has a very slight almost insignificant buckle to the top beaded edge. The outer case is damaged. It is broken at the rear corners beneath the hinges where the top attached to the base. The box has clearly been dropped. There are also other loose sections and scuffing to the outer leather. The interior cloth lining is in very good order. The case would relatively easily repair in our opinion.
A silver drainer and bowl, Viners, Sheffield 1956, in plush presentation case, a silver goblet, Docker and Burn Limited, Birmingham, 1931, height 11.5 cm: and a pair of silver preserve spoons, Kerr and Philips, Sheffield, 1896, with mother of pearl handles and in fitted presentation case: and a small silver plated pickle fork with mother of pearl handles.
A Hukin & Heath silver plated two tier fruit dish. Width 48 cm. CONDITION REPORT: The branch form frame is in very good structural order. We cannot see any breaks, splits, damage or repairs to the frame or leaves. The lift off trays are also all in good order. The only issue with the piece is that it is extremely dirty and much of the original silver plate is no longer present.
An Art Deco period silver mounted boudoir clock, early 20th century, the square dial with Arabic numerals, with ribbon and foliate pattern silvered centre within a bi-colour square, inscribed "for Hamilton and Co Ltd, Calcutta, Delhi & Simla", within a silver case with scroll decorated pediment and base with two fluted columns, struck verso stylo numbered 1181, width 8.6 cm height 9 cm (see illustration).
A silver trinket box, Birmingham 1902, with vacant cartouche framed by embossed C scrolls and foliate decoration, supported upon four scrolling feet, with gilt interior, width 11 cm. CONDITION REPORT: The trinket box is in generally good condition with only minor faults. When the lid is held up to the light there are 3 very small perforations visible. These are on the proud parts of the C scrolls. The hinge has some movement however operates as it should and the lid closes correctly. The main body of the box is in good order as are the feet. The hallmarks are all clear and legible.
A provincial silver teapot, Dorothy Langlands, Newcastle 1805, with engraved key borders and with an anthemion and scrolled band above vacant oval cartouche, all on four Anthemion feet. Width 16.7 cm, height 16 cm, 551 grams (see illustration). CONDITION REPORT: There is a small dent to one side of the tip of the spout. There is a seam split running for approximately 6 mm from the tip of the rear of the spout down the spine of the spout. The lid hinges as it should and there is little movement around the hinge itself. The main body of the teapot is in good order with no significant blemishes. The handle is tight. The feet are all in good order. The hallmarks are clear.
A part canteen of Viners silver cutlery, Sheffield, circa 1932-1936, comprising 6 dinner forks, 6 dessert forks, 6 soup spoons, 6 dessert spoons, 3 serving spoons, 2 ladles, all with W monogram, and stainless steel bladed dinner and dessert knives, carving set, all within original canteen box, 1836 grams.
