The arms are those of WILSON impaling PATTEN quartering BOLD and probably engraved for an ancestor of John Patten Wilson, MP 1832-74 created Baron Winmarleigh of Winmarleigh, Lancs and died 1892. Lord Winmarleigh was Chief Secretary for Ireland 1868 Constable of Lancaster Castle 1879-92. His ancestral home Bank Hall, became the Town Hall of Warrington, Lancs.
