The lid is twisted at the hinge, so it does not sit flat. The handle is loose, and the projecting part which fits into the collar to secure it to the body is partly broken away. Hallmarks are visible but worn. No visible hallmarks to lid. Otherwise dirty and worn as expected with age.

There is no top to the glass liner either. Lid opens and screws down ok. Hallmarks are clear. A large dent to the base, dirty and general signs of wear. Mustard is in usable condition, with no obvious defects.

A Queen Anne Britannia standard silver coffee pot, of tapered shape, with a hinged lid, pearwood handle and spout to one side, engraved with two family crests, probably by Edward Ironside, London 1702, 589g gross, 23cm highOverall looks to be complete and solid. A repair visible inside 2cm high, running up under the centre of the handle, not very easy to see from the outside. Base is quite dented and knocked around the edges. A rough edge where the base fits the pot, suggesting it may have been repaired. Handle repaired/replaced where it fits onto the body. Hallmarks are worn, but still legible. Various light dents and marks as expected with age.

Note: a non-transferable ivory exemption certificate has been granted for this item, ref VYSMU7GE (2)Both are complete and usable. Teapot is stained inside from use. The insulators are loose and cracked on each. Silver is dirty. Hallmarks are crisp. Teapot is 14cm diameter at the widest point and 10cm high including the handle. Sugar is 11cm diameter and  8cm high including the finial.
