An attractive and unusual 19th Century silver gilt and enamel Ladies Compact, the cylindrical opening body decorated with mauve herringbone design enamelling, with rope tassel and concealed lipstick, hall marked and monogrammed with single letter "J" and coronet. (1)
"Lord Nelsons" Silver Shoe Buckle? An 18th Century Irish silver Shoe Buckle, Dublin c. 1790, with reeded decoration, clear crowned Hibernia mark and makers stamp of T.C. It also bears letters R.L. and No. 45, and has two original steel prong holders, with an early label attached stating 'Silver Buckle from Nelson's Shoe.' Information supplied by vendor indicates the shoe buckle was formerly in the Bridgeport Collection, and originally held by Nelson's brother William. (1)
