Fine and rare Rolex Cosmograph stainless steel gentleman's bracelet watch, ref. 6239, circa 1966, serial no. 141xxxx, fixed engraved metal tachymeter bezel, with double ''T Swiss T' black dial with white and silver print, chronograph centre second hands, silvered baton markers and triple silvered subsidiary dials for hour, 30 minute recording and constant seconds, signed manual cal. 72B 17 jewel movement, Oyster expanding riveted bracelet with '57' end links, the replacement clasp dated '2.72' (the original clasp retained and sold with the watch), bezel 36.5mm diameter - **This watch displays the rare double "T Swiss T" inscription at 6 o'clock rather than "Swiss", instead of using radium, dial makers now used tritium for the luminous dots due to changes in regulations. A similar example sold at Phillips Geneva auction on the 12th May 2018, ex lot 1. - **Purchased new by the present owner, photographed here wearing the watch in the early 1970s and worn regularly until the mid-1980s, where it was retired to a drawer for the past 30 years! - Condition Report: - Movement - currently functioning and setting back correctly. Dial - appears in good condition with very little surface marks. Glass - visible cracks and would benefit with replacement. Hands - appear all matching, the lume insert showing some signs of age .
