A George II Silver Sauceboat, Maker's Mark Worn, London, 1747, bombe and on three shell-capped scroll feet, with leaf-capped scroll handle, 19.5cm wide, 10oz 12dwt, 330grCondition report: Marked underneath. There is some wear to the marks. Engraved underneath with a scratchweight '11-14'. Particularly the maker's mark which is only just visible. There is some overall surface scratching and wear, consistent with age and use. There has been a repair to the top handle junction and the item has perhaps been plated to disguise the repair.
