An early 20th Century Christian religious bronze medallion, depicting the Virgin Mary standing mourning at the foot of the Cross, with legend "Mater Dolorosa", verso a vacant reserve framed by a Crown of Thorns plant, 59 mm [Delannoy studied at the Ecole Germain Pilon where he was a pupil of Charles Valton & Jules Edward Roine.
