A Late 18th/Early 19th Century Tortoiseshell Veneered Statuette Portico. The rectangular top surmounted by sheet metal pediment pieces pierced and embossed with scrolls of acanthus festooned in laurel garlands and having a classical urn each side. The six red tortoiseshell half-column upright supports adorned with crowns of sheet metal leaves, and flanking a marquetried back panel inlaid with geometric compass stars. The platform base banded in ebony outlined with bone stringing and incorporating three glazed reliquaries to the bulge front frieze embellished with beads and silver wirework, 31" *79 cm) high, 23" (59 cm) wide, 8½" (22 cm) deep.

The coconut cup having a plain ovoid bowl with a silver rim and crescent-shaped cartouche inscribed with initialed 'ME', raised on a turned & stepped hardwood foot; the concave underside of which displaying fine concentric pole lathe turning lines, 5" (12.5 cm) in height. The goblet possibly elm, having a U-shaped bowl applied with contemporary silver cartouche engraved with a 'pigeon' crest, raised on a plain turned stem over a stepped circular foot with concave underside (broken and re-glued).

A 19th century plain tapering beaker with inset ring-turned base and shield cartouche and unmarked silver mounted rim, 4½ in (11.2 cm) high. Together with a Georgian plain tapering beaker applied with an oval cartouche engraved with contemporary script initials 'TG', 4 in (10.5 cm) high.
