A DUTCH SILVER GILT TWIN HANDLED OVAL BOWL, sitting upon a footed base the gilt bowl is decorated in repousse on one side with a cow being milked standing by a canal and on the other with a figure riding a horse into a village, these are surrounded by figures amongst scrolling foliate and fruit decoration. The twin handles being of pierced form with a figurehead wearing a feathered hat with cherub style figures either side, having .833 large article control mark and a maker's mark, approx weight 210 g, W 24.5 cm
