A pair of 19th century rose cut diamond earrings, each with a large pear shaped pendant stone within a pendant pear shaped rose diamond set frame. (See illustration) Condition Report: lot 2373 - the large centre stone is mounted in a silver coloured metal. the outer mounts are in a gold metal with no hallmarks. metal untested.
A novelty silver vesta case with a concealed compartment opening to reveal an enamelled panel with a naked woman tempting a prophet, import mark for Birmingham 1910. Condition Report: lot 2413 - the enamel is in good condition. some slight rubbing to the gilt bands around the sides of the enamel.
An open faced keyless pocket watch, the white dial signed Badollet Geneva, inside the inscription "Presented by Mr S.O. Beeton, Publisher 18 Bouverie Street, London EC, Examined and Warranted by T.A. Simpson & Co. 154 Regent Street, London" together with a silver watch chain. Note: Samuel Orchard Beeton, publisher of his wife's Book of Household Management, first English publisher of Uncle Tom's Cabin, launched The English Woman's Domestic magazine in 1852. The Boy's Own magazine was published 1855, the year before his marriage to Isabella Beeton.
