WW1 German Order of the Prussian Red Eagle 4th Class by Wagner of Berlin. Silver crossed, pebbled arms, with hand painted central enamel eagle with crown. Royal cypher to rear, good patina overall to W stamped cross, on original sewn ribbon, with female mounted ribbon bow.

WW1 German Army Iron Cross presentation silver spoons (2). Tea spoons, both with 1914 EK1 motifs to handle , with engraved dates 30.9.18 with .800 silver hallmark & maker stamp (Lange & Gunther - Lichtenstein). Each measures 135mm long.

Lot 468

Features ornate root wood grip, carved in basket weave fashion on the outside, cast silver and chased pommel with thistles and foliage, the pierced pommel set with a yellow citrine/stone. The unmarked 34.4cm long blade, being of steel, double edged to tip, with circular pierced cutting top edge. Retains leather washer and shows light wear & spotting, but generally good. The scabbard of brown leather, showing much wear, with solid silver mounted thistle engraved mouthpiece with silver belt loops to rear, along with one thistle decorated silver mounting point (one missing), housing the eating fork & knife of root wood with basket weave design & set purple & white stones, bottom silver drag, with the leather complete but quite pliable, in need of stiffening.

Features fine plated silver nickel fittings overall, with orange grip (small crack to rear top) and crisp eagle cross guard. W.K.C. marked 26cm long blade, with very light wear & some small chips to blade edges & leather washer. Scabbard retains both suspension rings and hanger clips, with some rubbing/plating wear to silver frosting. A good used pre-war made service dagger.

Features fine plated silver nickel fittings overall, with white grip and crisp eagle cross guard. Unmarked 25.5cm long blade in excellent condition, with leather washer. Scabbard retains both suspension with minimal wear to silver plating. A very good conditioned piece. Est: $560 to $600

Features good condition zinc fittings lacking silver wash, with white grip and eagle cross guard. Bullion portepee knot is tied to the pommel and guard. Unmarked mint condition 26cm long blade, retaining leather washer. Scabbard retains both suspension rings, with bright finish, with officer’s hangers.

Orange celluloid grip, with full wire wrap, rotating large symbol & oakleaf pommel, with eagle aluminium cross guard. Silver bullion wire woven knot tied to base of grip.  Very good condition Tiger of Solingen marked 26cm long blade, showing 2 very small dents to right edge, retaining leather washer. Blade fits perfectly into the nickel plated, pebbled scabbard.

Features mid brown wood grip, number stamped 482 to reverse lower grip, retaining zinc eagle and roundel, both of which sit firmly in the grip. Cross guards are correct silver plated type, with light wear age, the lower reverse Gau stamped W (Feldherrenhalle). The very good condition 1942 dated & RZM 7/72 (Karl Rob, Kaldenbach, Solingen-Grafrath) maker marked blade measures 22 cm, with very fine etched motto “Alles für Deutschland” (All for Germany). Very good brown enamelled scabbard shows some light crazing, matching numbered #482 to top chape, very good overall with large style leather uniform hanger. A very good example piece from the last year of dagger manufacturing during the war.

1570 dated Japanese Koto Period Katana by Mogoroku Kanemoto, with NTHK certified paperwork. Blue fabric wound binding, with very good modern ray skin grip base, and silver gilt menuki and decorative pierced tsuba. Tang shows maker stamp for Kanemoto. 70.5cm long blade, shows modern silver habaki, full hamon to blade edge & distinct sanbonsugi temper line pattern to boshi, showing manufacture by Mogoroku Kanemoto. Modern lacquered scabbard included to complete this exceptional condition sword. Comes with comprehensive research paperwork, including NTHK certified certificate, showing tang photo, embossed & hand inked details in Japanese script authenticating the sword, maker & date. Sanbonsugi Kanemoto swords are renowned amongst collectors and enthusiasts as being of the finest quality blades and also for their sharpness & cutting ability. Overall length: 99cm
