A commemorative 19th century English crystal lead tumbler, straight sided with a heavy base of ecclesiastical design. This glass has an illustrious history, in the base is a silver cabochon inscribed with the words 'part of the communion plate from the York Minster, burnt 1829'. The fire was started by one Jonathan Martin claiming to have a grievance against the 'goings on' in the Minster, he decided to burn it down.
