A WWII D.F.C medal group, awarded to Acting Flight Lieutenant Ronald Victor Munday, number 133102, Royal Air Force Volunteer Reserve, no. 57 Squadron, to include a 1944 Distinguished Flying Cross, a 1939-45 Star, the Air Crew Europe Star medal, the Defence medal, and the 1939-45 medal. Also included is a silver gilt Round Table Past Chairman Boston 337 medal, awarded to F.G. Tait 1962-63.
A set of twelve early 20thC German while metal table forks, each with a tapering handle and engraved initial B. Stamped 800, makers marks for Mansfelder Silber, Dusseldorf, and a set of twelve table knives, each engraved with the initial B, handles with 800 standard mark and stainless steel blades marked for J.A Henckels of Solingen etc. weighable silver 25 3/4oz. Provenance; Brought back by the vendor's father who was in the Royal Army Service Corp, attached to the Royal Army Medical Corp as an ambulance driver. He landed in France in the aftermath of D Day, September 1944. The cutlery were believed to be previously in a chateau that had been recently vacated by German forces.

An extensive record of WWII Service including pilot's log book, medals, Dog Tags, RAF Brevet and US Silver Wings, raid maps, service record, photograph albums, documents. Completed British Pilot Training in America through the West Point System under the Arnold Scheme June 1941- January 1942. Operational with 141 Squadron on Special Duties flying Beaufighters and Mosquitos. Front-line ferrying from India. De-mobbed June 1946. Returned to work in administration.
A late 18thC flintlock pocket pistol, by Brasher of London, with rare weather protected flash pan and concealed drop down trigger, the lock plates engraved with arms and signed Brasher London, with turn off steel barrel (3cm), the finely checkered grip with silver butt cap and with an inset silver monogram HH, overall length 13cm.
