This lot appears to be in good general overall original condition with no repairs, cracks or major problems noted.
A fine and heavy gauge hallmarked silver three-piece cruet set in high neo Classical style and comprising boat-shaped mustard, boat-shaped salt and urn-shaped pepper caster each with blue glass liner, each silver with maker's mark and EJH NH, the mustard and pepper caster assayed London 1901, the oval boat-shaped salt assayed London 1902 (3)
A fine and large pair of hallmarked silver table candlesticks in neo Classical style, the concave-sided gadrooned drip pans above acanthus capitals and slightly tapering circular stems adorned with acorns and leaves in a swirling repoussé design, the spreading square gadrooned base headed with neo Classical style urns and covers with swags, each candlestick and separate drip pan with maker's mark of TB and assayed London 1897 (33cm high) The candlestick with the lot number – the drip pan is fully marked and appears to be in good condition. There are also hallmarks to the inside of the candlestick. Looking at the main outer body everything looks in fairly good honest original condition. Being super critical under a jeweller’s loupe some small scratches are visible and there are some very minor scratches/scuffs and pin head sized knocks etc., to the very bottom element of the base underneath the gadrooning. This is also fully hallmarked and there are also hallmarks to the underside. The underside looks dark and fairly scratched commensurate with age and the circular visible iron weight is corroding. The other candlestick drip pan looks in good original order with no major problems noted. The column looks OK and the same minor scratches, scuffing and extremely small dents are to be found on the very lower section of the plain plinth base underneath the gadrooning and it is noted that there is a match head sized small dent to one side just before the corner although in our opinion this would polish out fairly well. The iron weight is also corroded to the underside and there are scratches and darkness to the underside commensurate with age. No major damage, splits or reparations noted. Provenance: These have come privately and have been in the same family ownership for many years.
A silver-framed desk calendar, assayed Birmingham 1904Month and date cards are later reproductions on paper dated 2017, they are all present but are later ones. The silver itself appears to be in good general order and the central cartouche is un-engraved. Th back exhibits wear where the leather is worn and scuffed, it has obviously been used over many years.
An Edwardian silver rose bowl, assayed Birmingham 1903This is fairly small, diameter 12cm x 9cm high. Condition is reasonable with fairly clear hallmarks although the inside does appear darker and there is a small dent towards the middle of the inside. We can accept a bank transfer for payment.

A composite hallmarked silver tea set hand-planished and in high Arts and Crafts style comprising teapot, hot-water jug, three-handled sugar and a small cream jug, the teapot, cream jug and sugar with the makers' mark within an oval cartouche of HGIP and assayed London 1908, the very closely matched hot-water jug with maker's mark C E within a horizontal 8-shaped cartouche and assayed London 1911 (full-width diameter of teapot 13.5cm, full height to tip of finial of water jug 17.5cm) (total weight of all four items including hands approx. 1,173g)Three of these items are hallmarked London 1908 and the hot water jug is matched and hallmarked London 1911. The hot water jug’s ebonised wooden finial has split slightly at the top although the rest of it appears in good reasonable order with no major problems noted. The small cream jug has an applied leather “insulator/grip” around the hand appear to be in good condition. The three handled sugar feels heavy in the hand and is also in fairly good condition. The hallmarks are nice and clear on the sugar. The larger teapot also has a bit of a “vertical hairline” to the ebonised finial. The spout appears OK, it is a little stained inside obviously due to tea, this appears in fairly good original order with no major problems noted. Provenance: These have come privately and have been with the vendors for many years.
A fine 19th century hallmarked silver wine jug of neo Classical inspiration, high arched scrolling handle affixed to the body with leaf-style decoration, the main body of baluster form and engraved with ferns and with central engraved armorial, raised on spreading circular foot, maker's mark R H, (probably for Robert Harper), assayed London 1873, approx. 576g, 36cm high (including handle), small repair visible to outside of circular spreading foot and also less so underneath Provenance: This has come privately and as far as we understand it has been in private family ownership for many years. It has been cleaned fairly bright. Very nice pleasing neo classical shape with an elongated neck above the baluster body. Nice selection of five different hallmarks underneath the arched spout which appears in good condition. The integral hinged cover appears in good order overall with just a slight pin head sized “ding” to the edge where the rounded top turns up a little. The high arched handle again appears in good condition although a little rubbed to the decoration commensurate with age. The main body is very finely engraved with ferns in the tradition of the last quarter of the 19th Century. It is also engraved with an armorial which looks like the torso of a leopard upright and holding some kind of barley sheaf or similar. The baluster body leads to a slightly spreading circular foot which has been repaired at some stage. Evidence of this is showing on the section where the base of the baluster meets the foot, there is a 2/3cm section there which is prevalent as a repair and turning the jug over there is a small 1cm split emanating from the very inside of the base of the jug underneath outwards and this is the basis of the repair. Apart from this the jug is very stylish and appears in good honest genuine condition.
A Georgian-style hallmarked silver salver, makers' mark S.B&S Ltd., assayed Birmingham 1922, total weight approx. 683g (30cm diameter)All appears good with some minor scratches to the underside but no dings, splits, major problems or restoration noted. A fairly honest piece.
A hallmarked silver hinged box of rectangular for with central vacant heart-shaped cartouche and decorated repoussé style with floral sprigs and scrolls etc., maker's mark W.D., assayed Birmingham 1904, 15.5cm wide, approx. 296g Appears to be in good general overall order with no big cracks or dents or reparations noted. Being super critical looking at the area around the central un-engraved cartouche there are a couple of small holes on the scrolling relief where it has presumably been cleaned over many years and the metal has rubbed away somewhat. The holes are only pin head sized and at present we can only see two of these. The hinge appears in reasonable condition although it is slightly away from the main box at the right hand side at the back but no damages or breakages are noted. It is worth noting that the hinged lid does not fit “flush” at the front although in our view it does push down and does not take much away from it.
