A late 19th/early 20th century oak tantalus stand, with silver plated mount. Height 32 cm, width 40 cm, depth 15 cm. CONDITION REPORT: This oak tantalus has three decanters, all discoloured and with chips to rims and stoppers in line with use, they are not all in good condition. The tantalus itself has internal damage to the left rectangular stand. Overall it is structurally okay with the locking mechanism and handle working correctly.

A Victorian presentation plated or Indian silver horse racing trophy, in the form of a lidded tankard with intricate embossed Anglo Indian designs, inscribed to the rim of the base "Won by Captain Hickmans Moonstone (owner) Madras Sky Races 1880, presented by C.V. Cunniah Chetty Esquire", also P Orr and Sons Madras to base. 28 cm high (see illustration). CONDITION REPORT: This presentation racing trophy is structurally intact with no visible losses to the handle, bodywork or embossed decoration. There are however many areas of discolouration, pitting and wear to the entire trophy. The interior is much cleaner. The weight of this trophy is 3 lbs 5 ½ oz. The base has been scratched in many places to indicate testing for silver content.
A 19th century Goldsmiths Company mantel clock, of French aesthetic design with silver plated and gilt bronzed frame (worn), having lion mask and urn finial over finial dome top containing circular dial stamped Goldsmiths Co, with Roman numeral dial containing striking movement. The case having extensive pictorial enamel panel decoration depicting birds amidst foliage on moulded acanthus plinth and segmented bun feet on shaped additional velvet plinth. Height 55 cm, width 28 cm, depth 16 cm. (see illustration).
A pair of Jugendstil silver plated candlesticks, marked WMF to the bases, both with ball centred square tapering stems surmounted by drip tray and sconce. Each 28 cm high. (see illustration). CONDITION REPORT: This pair of candlesticks have no losses or damage. They both sit firmly on a flat surface. One of the sconces is slightly out of alignment, both are very discoloured, distressed and show signs of use.
A George III silver lidded jug, by John Foster II London 1776, repousse with scroll work and flowerheads, fully hallmarked to the base and lid and with gilt interior, 1313 grams, height 22 cm. NOTE: This item has been assigned an ivory exemption certificate ZEG9WEM9. (see illustration). CONDITION REPORT: Hallmarks are clear to the inside of the lid and base. The lid itself opens and closes on a smooth hinge with ivory insulators. The second ivory insulator has loss to the top. This is sold with an exemption certificate. There are numerous small dings to the surface of this lidded jug in line with age. The smooth centre of the cartouche to the side of the jug appears with little undulation and is smooth to look at. The embossed overall decoration is intact. Some signs of wear and tear with scratching in places.

A silver cow creamer of traditional form, with hinged cover with tail and bee motif, London 1881. 15 cm long, +/- 183 grams. Provenance: The estate of the late Bill Teasdale. CONDITION REPORT: The cow creamer's rear left leg is bent, it therefore does not stand well. The lid opens and closes smoothly. It is slightly loose in its fittings. The remainder of the item has scratches and other marks in line with age but no obvious signs of damage or loss.
A Queen Anne Britannia silver lidded tankard, circa 1703, with domed lid and scroll handle of tapered form, hallmarked to lid and body. 16 cm high, gross weight +/- 614 grams. (see illustration). CONDITION REPORT: The tankard has clear hallmarks to the lid with further rubbed hallmarks to the inside body of the tankard. The lid itself is not secure within its hinged attachment to the handle. There are some noticeable scratch marks to the base and the body itself is not entirely smooth it does have surface undulation. This may imply later embossing which might have been hammered out. The structure is sound overall with one small noticeable split to the rim near the handle +/- 0.5 cm in depth. Also some misshaping to the curved edge of the lid in line with use and age. On the handle there is one further hallmark and an inscription EB*B
A George II silver cream jug, London 1753, maker probably Richard Gosling, 86 grams, height 9.8 cm. CONDITION REPORT: There is a very high probability that the decoration is a Victorian addition. It is heavy and bold. With regards to condition, the handle is bent from the top, this is clear and obvious. The overall structure is sound, but other areas of the shaped rim to this small jug are also out of kilter. It has been well used and reflects its age.
A canteen of silver plate / EPNS cutlery, mostly by Henry Wilkinson & Co of Sheffield plus some from T H & S, contained in a very impressive oak fitted cabinet. The cabinet has double opening doors to front, with brass hinges and lock (fully operational and key present) as well as brass hardware including campaign style inset handles to sides. Inside are a set of five drawers, again with campaign style inset handles and fitted blue baize interiors. Contains approximately 17 large forks, 17 smaller forks, 17 large knives, 14 small knives, 17 fish forks, 17 fish knives, fish serving knife and fork, 10 large spoons and 9 dessert spoons. Case measures approximately 52cm x 41cm x 37cm high.
