A Middle Eastern silver inlaid brass bowl: of squat form with everted rim, the silver exterior finely engraved with a band of calligraphy in thuluth script including 'glory to our Lord Sultan King al-Nasir' and 'Nasir [victorious] in the world and in the Din', flowers and foliage separated by foliate cartouches and endless knot bands, Egypt or Syria, probably 18th/19th century, 23 cm wide.
