A percussion target rifle by Dasch in Graz dating: mid-19th Century provenance: Tyrol Rifled, three-stage, 11 mm cal. barrel, octagonal, the faceted and octagonal again at the nozzle, with relieved muzzle, provided with fore -and rear-sight, signed "DASCH IN GRAZ" in silver; the tang engraved with floral motifs and provided with a peep-sight. Lock with upside-down hammer, flat plate engraved with floral motifs and provided with a wide spark arrester. Briarwood half stock, the mouth chiselled with foliage, checkered at the neck and under the barrel, grip with a large seat for the thumb, butt with cheek-piece and floral chiselling. Brass mounts, trigger guard with guard, trigger and set trigger functioning; brass butt-plate with tails and engraving en suite, a smooth shield at the lower part.Heinrich Dasch (circa 1811 -1853), was named Master and was in charge of his father`s workshop funded in 1848. Lock with bronze plate decorated with floral motifs and signed "BUNNEY". Iron hammer shaped as a swan-neck, iron batterie and spring decorated en suite. The upper arm of the spring of the lock is convex at the first part in order to make the hammer push stronger. Walnut stock decorated behind the tang. Silver mounts featuring conventional decorations: the trigger cover ending in the shape of a pineapple, two ramrod holders, counter-plate and shield.
